Invitation to one day in-depth phonics/TLMs devising workshop by Ghana Education Service
The Offinso Municipal Office of the Ghana Education Service has released an official letter dated April 7, 2022 with reference number-GES/OFM signed by Gladys Kwakye the municipal director.
As part of the government’s effort to build the capacity of teachers for effective and efficient delivery of lessons, management of the Offinso Municipal Office of the Ghana Education Service wishes to inform its teachers that there is the need for them to be equipped with techniques in phonics and the preparation of teaching and learning resources.
To this effect, teachers are invited to attend a day intensive workshop, and head teachers within the various schools are kindly requested to release and sponsor their kindergarten teacher(s) to attend this important program.
The workshop which starts on the May 12 and ends on May 13, 2022 with exactly 9:00am as starting time daily has been grouped into two sections. The first section which is on the May 12, 2022 takes place at Abofour Adabiya Islamic primary with the following circuits; Koforidua, Abofour ‘A’, Abofour ‘B’, and Kayera.
Furthermore, the second section with the following circuits; A,B,C,D,E and Bonsua takes place at the municipal education office.
Teachers are supposed to come along with bottle tops, counters empty bottles, glue (white glue color), papers, empty plastics, scissors, carpenter’s glue, stapler push pins, starch, and cardboards for demonstration.
Management urges all head teachers and teachers to comply to this directive.
