In a heartwarming act of generosity and inspiration, Mad Josephine Oppong, an old student of Old Offinso R/C Primary School, has donated hundreds of free exercise books, pens, and pencils to pupils of her alma mater.
The event, held at the school’s premises in the Offinso Municipality, was filled with joy and gratitude as both teachers and students celebrated this touching gesture. Many pupils, especially those whose parents struggle to afford basic learning materials, were visibly overjoyed to receive the items.
In her address, Mad. Oppong expressed her excitement at the opportunity to give back to the school that laid the foundation for her life. She encouraged the pupils to study hard and stay focused, emphasizing that success in life can come through various paths.
“Though I couldn’t continue after SHS, I’m grateful for how far God has brought me through business,” she said. “Some people, like Mr. Osei Kwame Despite of Despite Media, succeed through entrepreneurship, while others do so through formal education. What matters most is hard work, consistency, and integrity.”

The school’s leadership, including Mr. Sant Francis (Headmaster) and Mr. Kwame Gordon (Assistant Headmaster) together with the entire staff, expressed deep appreciation for the kind gesture. They joined the students in offering heartfelt prayers and blessings for Mad. Oppong, acknowledging her as a shining example of giving back to one’s roots.
