Just In: Ghana Education Service send Urgent Information to Teachers Across the Country…[Click for Details]

Management of the Ghana Education Service has released an official statement dated July 15, 2022, with reference number- GES/DG/247/22/213, signed by Professor Kwasi Opoku Amankwa; Director General of the Service informing Pre-Tertiary Education Unions to call off the strike effective July 14, 2022.
Pre-Tertiary Education Unions and teachers went on strike because they were demanding for Cost of Living Allowance (CoLA). Upon several negotiations with the government, there was a successful completion of negotiation between the Government of Ghana and Organized Labour on the Cost of Living Allowance.
Management is by the statement informing all Regional Directors of Education to ensure that both teaching and non teaching staff of the service return to school on Monday July 18, 2022 to start academic work.
