GES Sends Strong Warning to All Teachers & SHS Heads – Action Needed Before Friday

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a crucial directive to all teachers, Senior High, and Technical School heads ahead of the upcoming Eid ul-Adha celebration.

In an official letter dated 3rd June 2025, GES declared Friday, 6th June 2025 a public holiday for all Basic, SHS, and SHTS students. School heads are to allow students who wish to travel home for the celebration to do so, while ensuring adequate supervision for those who remain on campus.

Importantly, students who travel must return by Sunday, 8th June 2025 to resume academic work the following day.

Regional Directors have been instructed to urgently disseminate this information to all teachers and education officers nationwide.
