GES Issues Strong Warning Against Fake Recruitment Adverts and Appointment Letters
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially responded to the growing spread of fake GES recruitment adverts and appointment letters circulating on social media platforms.
In a press release dated 28th June, 2025, signed by Daniel Fenyii, Head of Public Relations at GES, the Service clarified that while Parliament has approved the recruitment of 50,000 teachers and 10,000 non-teaching staff, the official recruitment process has not yet started.
“We wish to inform the general public that this recruitment process is yet to commence,” the release stated.

No Money, No Middlemen — Recruitment is Free!
GES emphasized that all legitimate recruitment exercises are completely free. No individual or group has been authorized to collect fees or offer job placements.
“Any such activities are fraudulent. The public is advised to disregard these fake GES recruitment adverts and appointment letters.”

GES is urging the public to report anyone demanding money or offering fake letters to the nearest police station. These scammers are exploiting the hopes of vulnerable job seekers, especially recent graduates.
