Just In: NaCCA stops teachers from using this particular textbook…[CHECK DETAILS]

Management of the Ghana Education Service released a letter dated May 13, 2022 with reference number-GES/S&ID/MSCE/2022/253, signed by Mrs. Patty E. Assan (Director, Schools and Instructions Division) raising some concerns with the primary two history textbook currently in use.
This has led the Management of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) on their decision to withdraw, with immediate effect, the approval of the textbook titled “History of Ghana Textbook for Primary 2” waiting for further scrutinization.
Management is therefore urging all Regional Directors of Education to spread this information to all primary schools and primary 2 teachers to immediately stop using the above mentioned textbook for history lessons.
Management recommend strongly that, all teachers treat this information as a matter of urgency, and the textbook in question should be collected and kept for retrieval. Below is a copy of the letter;
